Is the festival rain or shine?
Yes.
What is your refund policy?
No refunds will be provided. Tickets are non-transferable.
Do you have AOCA accommodations?
Yes. The event site has no elevated areas with stairs leading into general admission areas and accessible portable toilets are available throughout the festival site. Additional AOCA amenities may be available, please inquire.
Are children allowed to attend?
Children under 10 are FREE to attend with an accompanied parent at all times. Children may NOT enter 19+ bars/smoking sections.
What is prohibited to bring to the event?
Outside food, beverages, umbrellas, coolers, large chairs, tents, drugs or ANY type of weapon are NOT allowed inside the event. A full list of items “not permitted” items will be posted at a later date. Please inquire within for additional questions.
Can we bring blankets & chairs?
Blankets & small folding chairs WILL be allowed in designated areas only on the grounds, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Folding chairs must meet strict criteria for entry, including low to the ground and/or with a low back. “Claimed” space with your personal belongings for the entire duration of the event are NOT permitted at ANY time and may be subject to move by staff.
Is there seating at the festival?
Picnic tables, lounge areas and various forms of shade will be available throughout the festival. No bleachers or allocated seating is available during the event.
What time do gates open?
Gates open at 2pm. Performances will begin shortly after.
What time does the festival end?
The last performance ends at approximately 11:30pm, and the festival ends immediately after.
Are there ins/outs permitted once inside the festival grounds?
There are no ins and outs allowed after you enter the festival.
When will the artist schedule be published?
The artist schedule will be announced closer to the festival date. Keep checking the website for updates.
Is parking available?
Parking is available for an additional $25 per vehicle, on a first come, first-serve basis. Cash or debit/credit cards are accepted. There is also a dedicated ride share drop off.
Are pets allowed in the venue?
Pets are not permitted.
How do we get to the event?
Markham Fairgrounds is conveniently located at 10801 McCowan Road in Markham, Ontario. The venue is easily accessible off Highway 401 and Highway 404.
How do I become a Kaya Fest Vendor?
We are currently accepting submissions for food, apparel and unique arts & crafts vendors. Please send an email to vending@kayafest.live with detailed information about your business for consideration. If interested, we will respond with an application to complete and return for final review.
